DESCRIPTION
Some Elantra vehicles may have a rattle/buzz/tapping noise from the accelerator cable. This noise is usually described as a body noise heard near the base of the windshield.
NOTE: There are no operational issues associated with this condition.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
- 2007 Elantra vehicles built after January 29, 2007.
- 2008 Elantra vehicles built before November 25, 2007
REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Locate the unused plastic clip located behind the engine on the bulkhead.
- Snap the accelerator cable into the clip.
